The best comment about Motorola's upcoming layoff. This is a direct quote.
"Another RIP off will be happen soon here."
This person is one of the "English as a second language" immigrants
so the English is sometimes a little rough and leaves you wondering if they
really intended to say what they said or if there was a little
difficulty with the English. On the other hand, they've
been in the U.S. long enough that they've picked up a lot of the slang.
So...did this person really mean to say "RIP off" or is this an unintentional
combination of "layoff" and "RIF" (Reduction In Force)... Or was this exactly
what they intended to say and its a great double entendre kind of thing since they
will probably only get about a months pay as their severance benefit?
